Hinged gable lid, made of clear polycarbonate. It can be hinged back out of the way to access the water bath, and is easy to remove and refit from the hinge for cleaning.

It has a side lifting handle for easy operation. The main feature is that it allows all condensate to return back into the water bath, unlike lift off lids which can leave puddles of water on the bench top when they’re removed.
