For demonstration of the chemical composition of water by volume, determination of chemical composition by electrolysis and with applications of the electro chemical equivalent of hydrogen. Platinum electrodes are used for the electrolysis of water; carbon electrodes are used for the electrolysis of ammonia or hydrochloric acid.
Available as a complete set or as separate components. The electrodes are mounted in rubber stoppers for insertion into the open ends of the Voltameter limbs, averting the use of fragile connections such as platinum wire loops fused through the limbs. Glass unit has two connected limbs, approximately 50ml cap on each. Stopcock and reservoir at apex of outer tube and inner tube.
